Visitors will be able to experience the expertise of this all-round provider at booth 01.164 in hall 1 and watch two traffic sign printers  in action: Alongside the printing system ORALITE® ECO Traffic Printer in cooperation with Roland DG, ORAFOL and the printing specialist Agfa will introduce the latest, innovative generation of the ORALITE® UV Traffic Sign Printer, the XP eXtra Performing. Under the motto of “Engineered to Save Lives”, the company will also present proven solutions for occupational safety, personal protection and vehicle markings.

Innovation in digital printing in cooperation with Agfa: ORALITE® UV Traffic Sign Printer XP eXtra Performing

At Intertraffic, ORAFOL will showcase the ORALITE® UV Traffic Sign Printer XP eXtra Performing, which is designed for premium traffic sign production. The latest generation of the large-format hybrid printing system offers impressive speed in production mode along with outstanding print quality. The printer is perfectly suited for ORAFOL UV digital printing inks and all retroreflective films within the ORALITE® Traffic Control range.

In collaboration with Agfa, the versatile LED UV inkjet printer with a media and print span of up to 3.20 metres has been perfectly adapted to the needs of companies manufacturing premium traffic signs. The high-speed hybrid inkjet system prints with six spot colours and UV LED curing. The printing system can print two reels at a time and thus process two orders in parallel if necessary. Additionally, due to the low energy output of the LED lamps, the printer is suitable for printing on thinner, heat-sensitive materials.

ORAFOL and the printing specialist Agfa have maintained a collaboration for over 10 years, resulting in maximum technical expertise, perfect global customer service, and highly sustainable technology. For example, the printing system is designed for constant and high levels of utilisation and maximum efficiency – both in terms of time and cost, as well as long-lasting production. Thanks to low consumption levels, emission-free ink and energy-efficient UV LED curing technology, the system is particularly sustainable in operation.

ORAFOL is the only company on the market that offers three protective laminates for digitally printed traffic signs with special functionalities protecting against dew, graffiti, or stickers in addition to its standard UV protective laminate: ORALITE® 5090 Anti-Dew, ORALITE® 5095 Anti-Graffiti and ORALITE® 5097 Astifol® Anti-Sticker.

Tried and tested, extremely robust and highly versatile: ORALITE® ECO Traffic Printer

In collaboration with Roland DG, ORAFOL will present a comprehensive system for eco-solvent printing at Intertraffic. The ORALITE® ECO Traffic Printer meets the requirements for the production of permanent and temporary traffic signs, including CE certification if necessary. Like the other printing systems from ORAFOL, this printer is designed to guarantee a long service life for printed products. At the same time, the ORALITE® ECO Traffic Printer is efficient in its use of resources; it requires minimal maintenance and service, thus its operating costs are lower than those of other systems on the market. The ORALITE® 5017 ECO Solvent Digital Printing Inks from ORAFOL were developed for use with ORALITE® reflective films and are a perfect match for the printing system.

As always, the ORAFOL expert service team will provide professional advice and comprehensive technical service for both systems presented at Intertraffic 2024 – from materials and printers to maintenance.
