In the mood for color: What exactly does ORAFOL do?

ORAFOL is one of the most successful companies in Germany. With self-adhesive graphic films, industrial adhesive tapes and reflective materials, we make the whole world more colorful from Brandenburg. You can see our colorful products all over the world: on airplanes, cars, traffic signs and safety vests. And our adhesive tape systems make state-of-the-art architecture possible, for example.

Plastics are everywhere: in smartphones, laptops, cars, etc. The German plastics industry is therefore a huge economic factor with secure jobs.

And the environment? We believe that plastics are part of a sustainable future. Provided that they consume less and less raw materials and energy and have a really long shelf life, so that hardly any waste is produced - as is the case with ORAFOL.

All questions & answers: Your apprenticeship at ORAFOL

Training at ORAFOL takes place in the company and at vocational school, i.e. “dual”. In the company, you will spend 3-4 days a week learning under the close supervision of your trainer. The vocational school supplements this with 1-2 days per week. This gives you the best of both theory and practice so that you are well prepared for the start of your career!

What apprenticeships does ORAFOL offer?

ORAFOL is one of the largest training companies in the Berlin-Brandenburg metropolitan region. In seven apprenticeships and three dual study programs, we prepare the talents of tomorrow for the job! Click on the professions to go to the respective job advertisement.

 
How does the application for an apprenticeship work?

 

In our job database you will find the apprenticeships that are currently available. In each advertisement you will find the “Apply now” button. Use it to register in our applicant management system. Once you have created a profile here, you can upload your application documents directly (CV, letter of motivation, certificates). We will take a close look at these and of course get back to you as soon as possible.

 

If we have the impression that you are a good fit for ORAFOL, you will receive an invitation to an interview. This is where we get to know each other personally! If both sides are convinced that you can make a great start to your career at ORAFOL, nothing stands in the way of your apprenticeship. You will receive a training contract from us in which all the details are set out. You do not need to apply separately to the vocational school.

 

Please note: It is best to apply a year before you start your apprenticeship, i.e. at the latest when you receive your 10th grade report card in January.

 
Who will guide me during the training?

 

Your trainers in the company know how to do two things:

 

  1. Of course, they are professionals and have been practicing the profession in which you are doing your training for many years.
  2. They also have what it takes to take you by the hand during your training: they trust you to take on challenges, monitor your progress and are a trustworthy contact person you can turn to at any time.

We want to offer you the best possible training at ORAFOL. That's why we choose our trainers carefully so that you can work together as a dream team!

 
What happens after the apprenticeship at ORAFOL?

ORAFOL is constantly growing. We are one of the most successful companies in Germany and are always working to expand our company and our team. Anyone who grows well into the job during their apprenticeship, performs tasks conscientiously and thinks for themselves is a huge asset to our team - and can expect to be offered a permanent position.
Mobility: How is ORAFOL connected in Oranienburg?

 

Our head office in Oranienburg is easy to reach by train and bus. Use our job ticket for this! From the train stations “S Oranienburg Hbf” or “Sachsenhausen-NordB” you can change to bus lines 804 or 821. This will take you to the “Am Flöhnberg” stop, and from here it's just a short walk to your workplace.

What opportunities are there at ORAFOL for a student and/or vacation internship?

 

At ORAFOL, you can either do a compulsory school internship or a voluntary internship during the vacations to get to know different training occupations. 

The vacation internship lasts 1-3 weeks - just as you wish. We will provide you with an employee who will show you various tasks and answer your questions. There is no remuneration.

Your dual study program at ORAFOL: Get started!

Do you want a degree plus practical experience? No problem: at ORAFOL you can combine your university studies with intensive on-the-job phases in the company - compact and intensive. This means that you will be trained immediately after graduation. There's no better way to grow into your dream job. And best of all: you get paid to study!

What subjects can I study at ORAFOL?

 

We currently offer the following dual study programs:

 

The standard period of study for each course is 6 semesters. Each semester you spend 3 months at the university and 3 months at the company - so you don't have to miss out on your semester break either. The course starts in the winter semester (1.10.). It is best to apply to us early with your school leaving certificate / proof of university entrance qualification, CV and internship certificates. (You do not need to send any application documents to the university itself).

Who will guide me during the practical phases?

 

Thanks to the cooperation with the university, there is a precisely structured plan for your practical phases at ORAFOL, including training objectives. A mentor will be on hand throughout your dual study program to help you with detailed discussions and planning.
