In the mood for color: What exactly does ORAFOL do?

ORAFOL is one of the most successful companies in Germany. With self-adhesive graphic films, industrial adhesive tapes and reflective materials, we make the whole world more colorful from Brandenburg. You can see our colorful products all over the world: on airplanes, cars, traffic signs and safety vests. And our adhesive tape systems make state-of-the-art architecture possible, for example.

What makes the plastics industry special?

Plastics are everywhere: in smartphones, laptops, cars, etc. The German plastics industry is therefore a huge economic factor with secure jobs.

And the environment? We believe that plastics are part of a sustainable future. Provided that they consume less and less raw materials and energy and have a really long shelf life, so that hardly any waste is produced - as is the case with ORAFOL.

In 7 Zukunftsberufen bilden wir die Fachkräfte von morgen aus. 160 Millionen Euro investiert ORAFOL bis 2024 in die Erweiterung des Stammsitzes in Oranienburg. 2600 Beschäftigte arbeiten weltweit in der gesamten ORAFOL-Gruppe, Stand September 2022. Weniger als 10 Prozent unserer Stellen müssen neu besetzt werden – denn ORAFOL-Mitarbeiter bleiben deutlich länger im Job als der Branchendurchschnitt.

All questions & answers: Your apprenticeship at ORAFOL

Training at ORAFOL takes place in the company and at vocational school, i.e. “dual”. In the company, you will spend 3-4 days a week learning under the close supervision of your trainer. The vocational school supplements this with 1-2 days per week. This gives you the best of both theory and practice so that you are well prepared for the start of your career!
